Adam Driver FINALLY confronts John Oliver about his ‘strange’ sexual and violent obsession with him

John Oliver has spent his entire season 7 making odd violent and sexually suggestive comments about one of the biggest actors in the world.

And much like his Marriage Story character, Adam Driver has had enough.

The 36-year-old actor and former US Marine made a surprise appearance on the season finale of Last Week Tonight With John Oliver on Sunday night.

Oliver,  43, has had a running gag where he makes disturbing comments about the Star Wars star and was in the middle of one when he received an unexpected FaceTime call.

Oh no: Adam Driver made a surprise appearance on the season finale of Last Week Tonight With John Oliver on Sunday night

Clearly agitated Driver has an annoyed look on his face when he says: ‘Oh good listen to me, what the f*** are you doing?

‘This bit, this bit, this this thing you’ve been doing that’s either sexual or violent… This strange, strange bit that for some reason you’ve pulled me into. What is it?’

As the joke has been going on for several months now, Driver said he could easily ignore it at first until it reached a tipping point.

The actor said: ‘When you first started doing it, it was easy for me to shrug it off.’

Oliver couldn’t help but throw in one of his sexual comments as he slyly replied: ‘Especially with those shoulders, I bet. Bet you could shrug the whole planet with those big peaks.’

Driver gets even more annoyed after Oliver’s interjection and becomes more hostile as he lists out just a few things that the talk show host had said about him.

The star said: ‘Stop talking!  Do you realize, over this past year, what you’ve asked me to do to you?

‘”Collapse on your chest.” “Tie your fingers in a square knot.” “Step on your throat.” “Shatter your knees.” “Pull your heart out through your ear.” What’s wrong with you?

‘You realize we’re strangers, right? I don’t know you. And now random people on the internet stan us, claiming that you thirsting over me is ‘a mood.’ I’m sick of people stopping me on the street and asking me if I’m going to punch a hole in you like a Marriage Story wall.’

Driver calls the entire thing ‘innapropriate’ and even got Oliver to admit that he was ‘having some weird fun.’

The actor then tried to lead the host to an apology but instead Oliver said: ‘I’m America’s naughtiest b****.’

Finally Oliver apologizes and promises that the gag is now over.

As the show no longer tapes in front of a live-studio audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the host has been filming in front of a white background at his home.

Driver thinks this has taken its toll on Oliver as he encourages him to get away as he said: ‘Look it’s been a rough year for everyone and I can tell it’s really gotten to you sitting alone in your void.

‘But I think that maybe it may be time for you to step out of it for a bit. Get up out of your chair, see what the world has to offer, explore the space man. Who knows, maybe you’ll even discover some surprises along the way.’

Got what he wanted: Then Driver does his signature angry voice as he says: 'Explore the f***ing space, you hollow-boned Mr. Bean cosplayer. Look around you, you under-baked gingerbread boy'

Oliver seems receptive to the idea but asks Driver if that was an order and when the actor insisted it was, the host said it didn’t sound like one.

Oliver gets increasingly hot and bothered before saying: ‘Oh God, this feels good.’

Driver realizes the error of his way as he hangs up the FaceTime after saying: ‘I hated this. Goodbye.’

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver is set to return to HBO sometime in 2021.
