Diddy stops Lizzo twerking during at home dance-a-thon… because of ‘a lot of cursing’ in her chosen track

Diddy outraged Lizzo fans when he called for a halt to her twerking during a star-studded at-home dance-a-thon.

But the rapper has clarified he wasn’t offended by her dance moves – he simply wanted her to choose a more ‘family-friendly’ track to perform to.

In the Instagram Live braodcast on Sunday, Diddy was heard to tell a twerking Lizzo mid-performance: ‘Stop the music. It’s Easter Sunday, let’s play something a little bit family friendly.’

Lizzo had picked the expletive heavy 1 2 3 by Moneybagg Yo for her at-home performance.

Diddy, who also enlisted famous pals Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and LeBron James for the show, expained later:  ‘There’s one thing that I want to make clear—my queen, my sister Lizzo.

‘She’s one of the best twerkers in the world, ok, so let’s keep that clear. It wasn’t about twerking.

‘You’re allowed to twerk on Easter. It was a lot of cursing in the record and I don’t need child services knocking on my door right now, you understand?

‘Lizzo, we love you. Everybody, stop looking for the negative. Look at the positive, man.’

The father of seven made his explanation via Instagram Live, after fans hit out at his decision to stop Lizzo’s moves. For her part, Love Hurts hitmaker Lizzo wasn’t offended, simply offering different tracks she could dance to.
