NRL great and sports commentator Laurie Daley is seen with a bandage on his nose and a nasal sling

Laurie Daley is one of the NRL greats who has transitioned his career from playing on the field to sports commentary on TV and radio.

But it seems he might have to take some time off after recently undergoing what appears to be a procedure on his nose.

On Thursday, the 52-year-old was seen stepping out of a car with a bandage on his nose and a nasal sling on his upper lip.

He also appeared to have a red band on his right wrist and a circular bandage on his left hand. 

Despite being bandaged up, he appeared to be in good spirits despite his painful looking face.

Alongside Laurie was his wife Michelle who looked relieved to have him home. 

The retired footy star has not yet revealed the nature of the procedure or if it’s an injury. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Laurie Daley’s management for comment. 

Laurie famously played for Canberra Raiders from 1987 until he retired in 2000.

During his career and represented NSW in the State of Origin matches with Queensland.

Laurie also played for Australia on the international stage against Great Britain, France and New Zealand.

He is currently a co-host on Sky Sports Radio’s Big Sports Breakfast with cricket great Michael Clarke, Gerard Middleton and Jaimee Rogers.

Laurie is married to Michelle and the Sydney-based couple share three children.
